More Royal Mail price changes!!
Those lovely people at Royal Mail are completely changing the small packet system and postal prices AGAIN from April 2nd, so we are currently trying to adjust all of the shipping prices and packaging to get the best we can from the system. The main change is that the 0-750g small pcaket system introduced only last year is going (can't help wondering just how much that cost the implement in the first place!)
The small packet and standard parcels are being replaced by
'small parcel'
'medium parcel'
'Large Parcel'
as we send most items that would be heavier medium parcel and large parcel by our courier system the biggest for us effect is the change from small packet to small parcel.
A small parcel can be maximum size
45cm (17.7inches) x 35cm (13.7 inches) x 8cm (3.14 inches)
the critical change is the max depth of 3.14 inches so any item that cannot fit in a box that is 3 inches deep will be penalised no matter how light the product is and classed as medium parcel.
A small parcel up to 1kg will be £2.60 2nd class or £3.00 1st class (in the old system small packet up to 750g was £2.20 2nd class and £2.70 1st class) and a small parcel up to 2kg is more expensive than our courier service so if postcode allows these will be shipped via courier.
So, we will be looking carefully at ways to ship within the size allowances, the 4 inch x 4 inch boxes we used to ship a packet of cupcakes in would now cost £5.20 instead of the old £2.20 just because of the box depth but luckily they do fit in 3 inch deep boxes only we have to buy boxes that are 3 inches deep but 12 inches long!! So all very trying but we will ensure the best deal for our customers but please bear in mind these changes when leaving feedback re: shipping charge and please no 'excess packaging used' comments if your box is 12 inches long!!

All of the team here at Cupcake-World are sugarcraft fanatics so we understand your decorating needs fully and we get ever so excited testing new products and colours!! Our newly extended sugarcraft store and school in Holmfirth is where we gain most of the ideas and inspiration for our new ranges, we know all too well that we cannot understand customer needs without using the products ourselves.
Here at Cupcake-World we understand the need to keep moving with the times and develop new ranges and new colours to satisfy our customer’s demands and these days the standard demanded is high. We know all too well that sellers who just buy in run of the mill ranges and sell on-line with no personal interest in sugarcraft are now getting left behind with the new high-end exclusive ranges that we are able to offer. it is very worrying these days how many sellers are selling these products either from home or from industrial units with no health and hygiene certificates and this include sellers making products in a non food environment.
We are constantly introducing new products including a wide range of edible dusts and blossom tints to compliment our glitter range, extremely popular is our new range of extra strong Intense flavours including Tutti Fruiti, Bubblegum, Lime, Violet, champagne plus many more flavours and our own range of silicone topper moulds and the new craze of chocolate transfer sheets. All of our new colours and products are tested in our Holmfirth store for customer reaction and comments before we launch the products online.
Please Note: All computer screens are set differently for colour so images may appear to be different on your screen to ours, please bear this in mind when ordering items espcially sugarpaste and if an exact colour match is required please send us a swatch in advance of buying.
We try to sell at competitive prices where possible and our buyer as always has been busy overseas sourcing many top selling sugarcraft lines direct from the manufacturer to cut out the UK middle man so that we will be able to offer you these items at the keenest prices ever seen online before.
Sourcing direct worked brilliantly when we did this last year with edible glitter, the response has been phenomenal and we will be offering more top selling sugarcraft products at sensible prices in 2013 to keep your sugarcraft costs down in this challenging economic climate.
In our purpose built sugarcraft school at our Holmfirth site has classes covering all aspects of sugarcraft, cake making, cupcakes and chocolate can be booked. Our regular shop customers have given us lot's of great ideas for class themes and we will be taking bookings shortly for morning, afternoon & evening classes along with full day and half day workshops, for beginners, intermediate & advanced, for ages 5 to 95. If you would like to receive a prospectus please just send us your email address via Ebay messaging. All students also receive a discount card and Loyalty card to use in our sugarcraft shop.
Many sellers operate a system of 'free shipping' on Ebay this is mainly to elimate the chance for buyers to leave negative DSR scores for shipping charges, this is fine if you wish to purchase one item but of course there is no such thing as 'free' shipping it is actually 'shipping built in' Under this system, as soon as you buy more than one item, you the buyer, are loosing out as you are paying multiple shipping charges, so we will continue to offer postage seperate on most of our items. This means that if you buy several items, say some sugarpaste, glitter, sprinkles, cupcake cases, cutters etc as long as the total weight is under 750g you will pay no more shipping charge than if you bought one pack of cupcake cases. Because we don't follow the many other sellers who offer a price including shipping you should find our prices much more competitive than other sellers especially if buying more than one item. We will still offer the fantastic value courier shipping of 5.95 for upto 5kg for 24 hour delivery as long as you live in an eligible post code area (please check our shipping section to check)
We will be listing lot's more of our shop stock products to ensure you are able to buy everything you need in one go, in our Holmfirth Sugracraft shop we stock all major brands so anything you need that isn't listed on Ebay is most likely in stock in our shop (a certain flower cutter etc) just Ebay message us and we will list it on Ebay right away to enable you to complete your shopping.

We do not guarantee that your order will be delivered the day after purchase as it depends on what time your order is processed and how busy we are but all courier orders are dispatched within 24hrs of payment. Where orders include item with free postage this will be taken into account and your shipping charge adjusted accordingly, we charge based on weight, some orders are very light (glitter) and some very heavy (icing) so each order is calculated based on the items included in the order.

Contact us: If you need to contact please ALWAYS use the contact seller button and send us a message via Ebay messaging, we cannot reply to emails sent directly to our Ebay email account as this email address received thousands of notification emails everyday from Paypal payments and all of our online shops and sites. We do not accept telephone enquires for Ebay purchases, our sugarcraft shop is very busy and the staff working in the shop are not involved in the Ebay shop and so cannot answer Ebay related queries. We require a contact telephone to be entered when you make payment to ensure we can contact you in case of any delivery problems, if you do not wish to give a contact you MUST NOT go ahead and buy and you cannot pay without giving a contact number and non payment due to buyer being unwilling to provide a contact number will result in a non pay strike on your Ebay account.
Before messaging us please check to see of your question is already answered on the listing or in our Ebay shop, 90% of Ebay messages we receive are asking questions that have already been answered on the listing, examples are ‘I want to buy several items, do you combine shipping?’, ‘if I buy today when will my order arrive?’ Unnecessary questions take up time that should be spent picking and packing orders and so leads to delays in the dispatch of everyone’s orders. During very busy times we may be unable to answer messages that have the answer already shown on the listing.
Unlike some Ebay sellers selling sugarcraft items we are a professional sugarcraft business and w eare happy to answer questions on sugarcraft matters and offer advice, however, such answers may take a little time if we have a high number of messages to respond to.
We are more than happy for Ebay customers to collect their orders in person at our sugarcraft shop in Holmfirth where you can also hire tins, meet other sugarcraft customers and browse our extensive range of sugarcraft items, cookbooks, bakeware and cookware. Many Ebay customers convert to being shop customers every week.
How quickly will my order be shipped? We generally dispatch orders within minutes of payment being received, so please ensure that you are happy with your order, selection, delivery address etc. before completing your payment as we usually will have dispatched your order before reading any messages relating to your order. Our priority is to dispatch orders as quickly as possible, so it may be too late to change a delivery address, change a colour etc. after payment has been made. Although we try to dispatch all orders received and paid by 12.00 noon the same day, during busy times or staff holidays this may not always be possible but we will always ship no later than the next working day.
Where is my item/s? We mark your item as shipped once it enters our order processing system, this means it will collected by our shipping agents that day or the next working day if the payment & order has not completed processing before our courier collections are made at 2pm. Many buyers expect their order to arrive the day after purchase, this may be the case if you have selected 24 hour courier and your payment has cleared before 12.00 noon but if you have selected 2nd class post it will more likely be up to a week after cleared payment before your item arrives, so please allow for this before contacting us to chase your order.
RETURNS POLICY Ebay Returns: For EDIBLE ITEMS - As per food safety & hygiene regulations we cannot accept the return of any edible item, even if unopened. Edible items are exempt from the Ebay Returns Policy unless we have supplied an incorrect item when we will accept the return.
We do not accept returns for colour not as expected for eg. with icing 'colour not as shown in picture on Ebay' as all computer screens are set up to different settings, colours will show differently on every computer screen, if you require an exact match to something please use our bespoke colour matching service. When you purchase our items you are agreeing to our terms and conditions that the image is a guide only and not an exact colour match. Returns will not be accepted if you thought the colour would be different! Please check your delivery carefully upon receipt as all damages and errors must be reported within 7 days of receipt for an exchange or refund, notifications after 7 days cannot be accepted.
For NON-EDIBLE ITEMS - We accept the return of unused, unopened non-edible items. All returns must be arranged in advance and a returns reference obtained from us before any item is returned and you will be advised which method of return to use, this must be done via Ebay messaging and not by direct email or telephone. Returns due to buyer changing their mind or item no longer needed we refund the item price less eBay fees, PayPal fees and less postage. Outward or return P&P is not refundable. We will refund both outward and return postage costs for items delivered incorrectly or damaged, please contact us first for a returns reference as in some cases we will not require the product to be returned.
PLEASE NOTE: in many cases orders are dispatched within minutes of cleared payment being received but Ebay messages take time to answer so we cannot guarantee being able to change or cancel an order or address after payment has been made, so please be sure you are happy with your order BEFORE completing payment.
Please check very carefully the item description to ensure you are ordering the correct product, the weights of the sugarpaste cause most order problems, if you are unsure as to how much sugarpaste you need, please check the chart or ask, a 100g pack is for modelling purposes and will not cover a cake! Also, there are major differences between such items as sugarpaste and sugar florists paste, you can not cover a cake with sugar florists paste or make fine petal flowers with sugarpaste so please check the description or ask. Please also check that the glitter you are ordering is suitable for your purpose and note the differences explained in the descriptions between edible and non toxic. We sell exceptional quality items and often items that are exclusive to us, please ask if you are unfamiliar with any product.
